Old cultured marble can be resurfaced to look like the new solid surface materials such as Corion, Avonite, or Silestone. Again at a fraction of the price!
I had done these countertops 10 years prior to this photo. Still in good condition but, the home owner wanted a new color. Resurfacing these counters twice the customer still didn't pay as much as 1 replacement. They are very happy! If you'd like I'll give you their number as a reference.
This kitchen makeover cost 1100.00 to refinish the cabinets and change the Formica color from pink. The replacement bid was $7.000.00!
We had to remove the coating applied by some other company less than a year before, it was peeling. The customer had a 1 year warranty but they wouldn't honor it!
A few more
This is a very good example of how you can save $200.00! In conjuction with the kitchen counters it only cost this customer $60.00 to beautify this vanity!!
This counter was burned so badly, the owner called for an estimate to replace all of the kitchen counters. Instead we repaired the missing piece, and resurfaced the counters. Again, for less than 1/2 the cost!!
The vanity top is refinished cultured marble. The bartop is refinished Formica. You have to touch it to tell it's not real marble!
